High-Performance Silicaflex™ blanket with a highly reflective multilayer aluminization.
Suitable for use at 1800°F (982°C), and able to withstand short term exposure up to 3000°F (1650°C), Aluminized Silicaflex™ features the additional benefits of a heat-stable aluminized coating. Ideal for reflecting intense radiant heat, the aluminized heat-stable coating also provides additional tensile and tear strength, abrasion resistance and the ability to repel water and hydraulic oils
Silica base fabric is a 12-harness satin weave of 36 oz (1220g/m2) nominal. Finished weight including aluminization is 37oz (1254g/ m2). Nominal width: 36” (915mm). Finished product width may be slightly narrower due to trimming of aluminized edges. Nominal Thickness 0.054” (1.37mm). Silica Content: 96%+. Supplied in 50yd (45m) rolls, custom lengths, custom shapes, or as fabricated curtains complete with grommets and accessories.
Ideal for use in radiant heat protection applications.
